According to the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, Velasquez was illegally selling weight loss medication, a controlled substance stimulant with similar effects to amphetamines, to patients out of his practice, New Century Physicians Intermedic Inc. The counts address at least 27 different Coshocton patients and two from Bucyrus, according to court documents.
