Back in April of 1966, the Righteous Brothers were riding high on the charts with "Soul & Inspiration," the latest in an incredible string of hits for the team of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield.
This week, the Bill Medley half of the duo is back on top, thanks to the incredible success of the soundtrack from the movie "Dirty Dancing," set in the '60s, which is in its third week at No. 1 on the album charts.
Now "Dirty Dancing" has scored a "double," because the movie's theme song, a duet between Medley and Jennifer Warnes called "The Time of My Life," has just become the No. 1 single.
