Abstract (Document Summary)

A full construction crew resumed work on Harvey's new police station Tuesday, but officials in the south suburb, who closed the site last week, continue to question whether the $2.5 million station is being built properly.

Chief among the concerns is that the contractor, L.E. Zannini & Co., of Rolling Meadows, and the architect, William E. Brazley, of Matteson, have allowed at least part of the station's foundation to be poured on ground that tests indicate is too wet, said Bonnie Rateree, assistant to Mayor David Johnson.
