Abstract (Document Summary)

On the singles' list it's the Cutting Crew, whose "Just Died in Your Arms" remained as champ for the second straight week by turning back the No. 1 bid of Jody Watley's "Looking for a New Love," which repeated at No. 2.

On the album charts it's those Irishers, U2, whose "The Joshua Tree" now is in its third week at No. 1, with no challengers yet in sight. And there's more good news for U2 on the singles' list, because the band's current single, "With or Without You," made a strong move from No. 6 to No. 3 and has replaced Madonna's "La Isla Bonita" (in its second week at No. 4) as the record most likely to be the next No. 1.
