The latest chart champion to bite the dust is Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer," which was the victim of a phenomenal chart surge by last week's No. 5 entry, the rock ballad "Glory of Love" by Peter Cetera.

"Glory of Love," which already has spent three weeks at No. 1 on the adult contemporary charts, is the first big hit for Cetera since leaving his post as lead singer for the rock group Chicago. However, it is the second time in the last four years that his voice has been featured on a movie soundtrack song that has hit the top of the charts.
