Abstract (Document Summary)

Just a week later, Palmer's "Addicted to Love" has already been replaced--by a British group that has hit the heights with its very first American release.

However, the Boys' reign may prove to be just as brief as Palmer's, because Whitney Houston's latest torch song, "Greatest Love of All," zipped from No. 7 to No. 3 this week and has enough momentum left to rise to No. 1 and stay there for weeks. It's already in its third week at No. 1 on the adult contemporary list and now is picking up strength on the black charts, where it moved from No. 12 to No. 6 this week.
