Abstract (Document Summary)

After four straight weeks at No. 1, Dionne Warwick's "That's What Friends Are For" finally has been knocked from the top of the pop charts.

"How Will I Know," which had been only No. 5 last week, zipped to the top despite a strong challenge from Billy Ocean's "When the Going Gets Tough," which moved to No. 2 from No. 4. The other four songs simply shuffled positions, with Survivor's "Burning Heart" slipping to No. 4 from No. 2, Warwick's "Friends" dropping to No. 5 from No. 1, Mr. Mister's "Kyrie" rising to No. 4 from No. 6, and Wham!'s "I'm Your Man" falling to No. 6 from No. 3.
