Abstract (Document Summary)

Chalk up another winning week for Dionne Warwick and Friends, whose "That's What Friends Are For" was able to hold off a Rocky-like challenge and retain its title as the most popular song in America.

The first, "Burning Heart," moved to No. 2 from No. 8 this week and has a solid shot at giving Survivor its first No. 1 since the Chicago-bred group scored with the "Rocky III" theme--"Eye of the Tiger"--in 1982. Less predictable was the success of the second "Rocky IV" song, James Brown's "Living in America," which jumped eight spots to No. 15 this week and now is on track for future titles.
