There's plenty of good news on the charts this week for Wham, whose "Careless Whisper" is in its second week at No. 1 on the pop charts, and in its third week at No. 1 on the adult contemporary list.

At the same time, "Careless Whisper" probably will be able to stay at No. 1 on the singles charts for a third straight week, despite strong challenges from Billy Ocean's "Lover Boy," which jumped to No. 2 after two weeks at No. 4, and REO Speedwagon's fast-rising "Can't Fight This Feeling," which is already No. 4 in only its sixth week on the charts.
