Abstract (Document Summary)

Brown's big gain was just the start of the fireworks on the LP list. Also making a resurgence were two other older albums: Poison's "Open Up and Say Ahh!," which zipped from No. 9 to No. 3 in its 36th chart week; and Guns N' Roses' "Appetite for Destruction," which moved from No. 5 to No. 2 in its 74th chart week. ("Appetite's" continued strength is especially impressive because it is now facing competition from a second Guns N' Roses record, "G N' R Lies," which is already No. 10 in just its sixth chart week.)
