Abstract (Document Summary)

For most of this summer, veteran rocker Steve Winwood has been dominating the charts with his "Roll With It" single and album, which together have grabbed five different No. 1 titles. Last week, he topped it off by scoring a "double," with simultaneous No. 1s on the pop single and LP lists.

On the LP list, "Roll With It" was unceremoniously dumped to No. 3 after just one week as champ. The new leader is Tracy Chapman's "Tracy Chapman," which had been threatening for weeks from the No. 4 spot and this week finally surged into the top spot past two other former No. 1s-Def Leppard's "Hysteria" (now No. 2) and Guns N' Roses' "Appetite for Destruction" (now No. 3).
