Abstract (Document Summary)

This was a singularly good chart week for teen star Tiffany, whose "Could've Been" took over the No. 1 spot on two major lists.

On the pop charts, "Could've Been" ended the one-week reign of INXS' "Need You Tonight," which dropped to No. 3, and stayed ahead of the Bangles' "Hazy Shade of Winter," which edged up from No. 3 to No. 2.

On the adult contemporary list, young Tiffany took over the No. 1 title from the veteran band Fleetwood Mac, whose "Everywhere" dropped to No. 3 after three weeks as champ.
