Abstract (Document Summary)

Maj. Gen. Stanley H. Ford was notified yesterday that he would be eligible for promotion to the rank of lieutenant general as commander of the 2d United States field army. The promotion will be pursuant to legislation passed in the session of congress which adjourned Saturday night.
