Oh it's an excellent time! In my book, I mention exercises that can be started within 24 hours after giving birth. These exercises are for any new mom, not just those are used to working out. One of the reasons exercise is important after giving birth is because research has shown that up to 50 percent of women have incontinence problems after pregnancy; 87 percent of women can solve the problem with exercise.
