Mr. [BERNARD RAY SPILLMAN] began his career with the public schools as a teacher at Whistler Elementary School. He also taught at Hendricks Elementary School and Hilliard Adult Education Center before becoming assistant principal at Bontemps Elementary School. He later was principal at Powell Elementary School and Westinghouse and then served as the district's assistant superintendent of vocational education and curriculum.
