Comic indigestion ; Spicy ethnic food? Bad choice before a show, but good material for Tina Kim's stand-up comedy act.
[Chicago Final Edition]

Chicago, Ill.
During a visit to a Korean-American neighborhood on the North Side, [Tina Kim] says she bases her stand- up comedy material on personal observations, but tailors remarks to the audience. Jokes about conversations with her mother play very differently to Koreans and non-Koreans, she says. "I want to have a talk show where I get up and do some jokes," Tina Kim says. "But I want to market it to women and gays.". Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner. Further reproduction or distribution is prohibited without permission.
