Another George-ex-Beatle George Harrison-took over No. 1 on the singles' chart with "Got My Mind Set on You," which had just enough momentum left from its No. 2 spot to edge past Whitney Houston's "So Emotional. (Last week's column, which was based on an early wire service transmission of the Billboard charts, had reported that the Harrison song was No. 3 and George Michael's "Faith" single was No. 2. Those positions were reversed in the official charts later published in the magazine.)
