On the pop singles' list, the hot new name is the Swedish duo Roxette, whose "The Look" moved up from No. 3 to end the No. 1 run of "Eternal Flame" by the L.A.-based Bangles.

Just as successful is the British trio Fine Young Cannibals, who took just five weeks to reach the top of the compact disc chart with "The Raw & the Cooked," the group's second bid to win over American audiences. (The group's first LP, "Fine Young Cannibals," was a cult success in '85.) And on the main LP list, "The Raw & the Cooked" jumped from No. 10 to No. 8, with a solid chance at future Top 5 honors.

The Cannibals also are doing well on the singles' charts, where "She Drives Me Crazy" already has hit No. 1 on one list (dance club play) and is closing in on the main pop list with a gain from No. 6 to No. 4 this week.
