Abstract (Document Summary)

When hot weather hits, it is time for minimal accessories. Time to put away the tight chokers and heavy necklaces that clutter up necklines, time to put away those little lacy gloves that may have looked cute in the spring but are sort of silly when the temperatures are in the 90s.

Some of summer's favorite accessories are topnotch, literally those that focus on the face, that don't add a look of heaviness: lightweight hats that offer a touch of shade, cover up less-than-perfect hair or add a flip look to clean-lined clothes; earrings, especially when they complement pulled-back coifs; and sunglasses, of course, just because summer wouldn't be summer without sunglasses.
