`Miss You Much' garners a double for Janet Jackson
[NORTH SPORTS FINAL, NW Edition]
Chicago Tribune (pre-1997 Fulltext)
-
Chicago, Ill.
And thanks to the impressive staying power of "Miss You Much," Jackson was able to score her first chart double-having the nation's No. 1 pop single and album at the same time. This week, her "Rhythm Nation 1814" LP easily moved into the top spot past last week's champ, Motley Crue's "Dr. Feelgood" (now No. 3), and also held on to its No. 1 ranking on the compact disc list. The only bad news for Jackson is her relatively modest showing on the black LP list, where "Rhythm Nation" moved only from No. 9 to No. 7 this week. Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner.
