Still at No. 1 on the pop singles' list is Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," which was able to hold off Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative" (No. 2 for the third straight week) and Phil Collins' fast-rising "Two Hearts" (up from No. 6 to No. 3, and No. 1 for the third straight week on the adult contemporary chart).

But there was one new champ, courtesy of chart veteran Roberta Flack, whose "Oasis" moved up from No. 3 to give her her first No. 1 on the black singles' list since such '70s hits as "Feel Like Makin' Love," "Where Is the Love" and "The Closer I Get to You." But so far, "Oasis" doesn't look like it will start a comeback for Flack on the pop charts, because it hasn't even cracked the Top 100.
