Abstract (Document Summary)

After a month of auditions, Stump the Host has found a replacement for longtime bass player Dave Gay, who has decided to hang up his rock 'n' roll shoes and concentrate on his family. The band, which has attracted major-label interest, must now do some serious touring to raise its out-of-town visibility. Gay had reservations concerning life on the road, so he and the band had to make a decision.

- Furball debut: Local indie Furball Records plans a mid-May release for a local-band compilation CD titled "Pressure Cooker." The album will feature Wicker Man, Mama Tick, Trenchmouth, the Flying Luttenbachers, Mow, God Box, Hog Lady, Uptighty, Loud Lucy, Scissor Girls, Stumbleblock and CDC. Furball is the brainchild of Jim Fath, a former deejay and music director at De Paul's WRDP (AM 640).
