LUNCH IS FITNESS TIME
[EVENING UPDATE, C Edition]
Chicago Tribune (pre-1997 Fulltext)

Chicago, Ill.
Each day at noon, while hundreds of workers pour out of downtown office buildings and into nearby eateries, Teresa Gianette and Pat Moni tie on sneakers and hit the sidewalks around Lake Eola for their own ritual. For 10 years Gianette and Moni have spent their lunch hour walking. No matter where their office has moved, they have always found a good route to walk. "It really helps you blow off steam, especially if you're aggravated," Gianette said. And there's a bonus. When they get back from their 1- to 2-mile walk, which takes about 30 minutes, and settle down to lunch at their desks, they aren't as hungry. Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner.
