Abstract (Document Summary)
Due mention was made in the newspapers of the period, that on or about December 1st, 1871, a fishing boat of four or five tons sailed from this port on a cruise along shore to the region of the orange blossom and the colored man, the adventurous voyagers being capt. John Spear, of the Sixteenth ward of this city.
