Abstract (Document Summary)

Mrs. Remar was long involved in improving the quality of mental health services. She was the president of the National Organization for Mentally Ill Children, a founding member of the Newton Mental Health Association and a founding member of the Warren Day Camp for Disturbed Children. She served as a member of the Governor's Advisory Council in Special Education for the Handicapped in 1969 and 1970, and was a delegate to the White House Conference on Children in 1970.
