The conference brochure says, "December 1983 sees the deployment of medium-range US missiles throughout Europe . . . The international implication on industry is a worldwide missile market in full expansion. Funding in the US alone has soared to $18 billion."
Advances in electronics, the brochure continues, "are creating new opportunities" for advanced warfare, including "sophisticated tracking and jamming, more kills per pass, kinetic energy weapons, maneuvering missiles . . . ."
