- [Hawk Harrelson] agreed to work the game because it was in Boston and the request from NBC followed the refusal of Dick Enberg to handle the broadcast. Enberg is preparing for the French Open on NBC this weekend and next, the best kept TV secret this spring.
- Ch. 56 hopes it can land Ch. 4's Gil Santos and Bob Cousy as its broadcasting team when the Celtics make the switch in two seasons. Fans hope so, too.
- And now that Ch. 56 has a nightly news program with Bill O'Connell as as sportscaster, why wasn't he invited to participate in Ch. 4's "People Are Talking." The show included the top three plus Don and Gary Gillis? The station's answer: Because there were only five seats. Oh.
