[Abner Comeau], an [Jean-Bertrand Aristide] supporter, describes the period since Aristide was driven from Haiti as one of intense debate, when the rifts between Haitians have become clear in a city where Aristide has received perhaps his warmest welcomes in exile.

"Since Aristide was forced out of the country, the Haitian community that was once united is no longer as it used to be," said Yves A. Isidor, an Aristide foe who has lived in the Boston area for 18 years. "There are now several political factions arguing about what we should do for Haiti."

People with opinions opposing the prevailing view have been shouted down at public forums in Boston. People who read Haiti Observateur are confronted and asked why they don't read Haiti En Marche or Haiti Progres, both considered pro-Aristide papers.
