It would seem a difficult task to turn a thriller into a yawner, but director/co-writer [Fulvio Wetzl] has done just that in his 1987 film, "Rorret." Lou Castel plays Rorret -- get it, terror, spelled backward -- the owner of the Peeping Tom cinema, a venue in which he shows a succession of thrillers. The joke is that Rorret is the psychopathic peeping tom; he peers between curtains at the young women viewing the films. He watches them watch; he watches them squirm.
