[Eddy Bienaime] supports Haiti's RGNP Party -- the party of ex-President Leslie Manigat who served for four months earlier this year before [Henri Namphy] staged a coup in June to regain power. Namphy had also been president for two years following [Jean-Claude Duvalier]'s ouster.
"The military men who have taken the power after Duvalier were all schooled by Duvalier," Haitian activist Jean-Claude Martineau of Mattapan said. "They are all Duvalier men. They are not going to make changes in the country. . . . This is a country ruled by terror."
