Over the years, countless women's groups, along with Simmons, Northeastern University, and Bentley College, where Mrs. Bunker was educated, were among the beneficiaries of her volunteerism and keen mind in supporting needed projects. Mrs. Bunker, who during 31 years at John Hancock Financial Services in Boston broke through the glass ceiling that made it difficult for women to advance in the financial world, died Aug. 24 at Sherrill House in Boston of congestive heart failure.
