Beyond her accomplishments at Regis, England said, Sister Therese took steps for women in areas dominated by men, such as when Cardinal Bernard F. Law asked her to help the Boston Archdiocese make monetary decisions. "Sister Therese's teaching dovetailed with the theological excitement of Vatican II to provide students with a remarkable sense of language, literature, and Catholic thought," said M.J. Doherty, special assistant to the president at Regis and a former student of Sister Therese.
