Whether opposing wars and the death penalty or calling attention to people whose lives were shattered in faraway places, she brought the grace of her presence to conversations and demonstrations and persuaded others to lend their voices to the cause of social justice. Sister Pat, who was the first director of the Office of Justice and Peace for the Sisters of St. Joseph in Boston, died Sunday in Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham of heart and kidney failure.
