Abstract (Document Summary)

Notes -- The Ravens signed offensive tackle Jared Gaither to a three-year contract. The former University of Maryland lineman was selected in the fifth round of the supplemental draft. It is also believed that the Ravens have agreed to terms with inside linebacker Prescott Burgess, who was a sixth-round pick and the Ravens' last selection in the April draft. That means the Ravens have four unsigned draft picks ([Ben Grubbs], receiver-returner Yamon Figurs, fullback Le'Ron McClain and quarterback Troy Smith). ... The Ravens cut reserve tight end Rob Abiamiri, who played at Mount St. Joseph High and the University of Maryland. He had spent two seasons on the team's practice squad.

"It's been very good dialogue," Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said yesterday of the talks with Grubbs' agent, Pat Dye Jr.
