Ryan Pinkston, 12, who lives west of Clarksville, is among the winners of "[Ed McMahon]'s nextbigstar.com" talent search. The national contest attracts thousands of applicants from around the country, and Ryan learned two weeks ago that Internet viewers had voted him the best in the kids dance category for ages 15 and younger.
Dressed in a black marshal arts outfit with blue trim, Ryan showed off the form that has made him a national winner. As techno music flooded his family room, Ryan easily flipped, kicked and chopped as he flowed to the beat.
In the end, Ryan walked off with $5,000 in prizes, including a new computer. Ryan declared himself "excited" about the win, though he did miss one of the perks of being the next big star.
