 Abstract (Document Summary)

Jurors were scheduled to resume deliberations tomorrow in the case against [Stanislaw Burzynski], 54. Burzynski's lawyers say he broke no laws selling antineoplastons, a compound in human urine.

Burzynski is accused of 75 counts of contempt, mail fraud and violating FDA regulations for selling antineoplastons across state lines. Although Burzynski has the right to use the drug in human trials in Texas, he cannot sell it outside Texas or skirt laws by having out-of-state patients come to his clinic south of Houston to get the drug.
