 Abstract (Document Summary)

Corvette Annapolis has more than 100 members who meet monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Annapolis public library on West Street. Information: www.corvetteannapolis.com.

[Terry Coker Peterson], a survivor of breast cancer, inspired her friend [Margaret Caro] to paint a portrait of her. This led to a series of small portraits of other women with breast cancer, including Caro's mother, a neighbor, a daughter's classmate and friends. Peterson documented her journey from diagnosis to reconstruction by creating a series of self-portraits using photo collage.

Part of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation for the AAMC's Breast Center in memory of Dawn Kittrell, an Annapolis woman who died in November 2005 at age 24.
