City man Sayvon K. Laws, 18, was charged Oct. 19 with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. City resident Jean-Marie J. Hughes, 22, was charged Oct. 23 with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The incident remains under investigation by Officers Joseph Markulic and Scott Brooks and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Crash Unit.
