Thank God it's Thursday Kings of emo took a much-needed break instead of breaking up
Several months removed from the 2003 fall release of the band's national breakthrough, "War All the Time," the members of Thursday were heralded as the saviors of rock in national magazines such as Spin and Rolling Stone, but the guys were pretty much at the breaking point. The band plays two sold-out holiday shows, Tuesday and Wednesday, at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, which is becoming a Thursday Christmas tradition, and also down the Shore at the House of Blues in Atlantic City on Monday.
