COVINGTON--Before I plunge my fork deep into Miss Jessie's Thanksgiving turkey, I hope that I shall have been able to erase from my mind two pages in a recent issue of Life magazine. They are concerned with the famous Trial of the Dunmow Flitch held every Autumn in Essex, England, for the past 700 years. There is nothing wrong with the photographs and story, and all appears gay on the surface; the thing winch has upset me was the size of the prizes, a mere gammon of bacon this year, instead of a flitch, and all of it contributed by New Zealand.
