COVINGTON--When the telephone rang it sounded just like any other call, but it wasn't. It was the most cataclysmic telephone call we have ever had in our lives and there have been moments since then when we were tempted to substitute catastrophic for cataclysmic. The reason is, when the receiver was replaced on the hook we had inherited three children. Not just one, of which the very thought set Mr. McGill to chuckling. We inherited three, if you please. One is standing at my shoulder now wondering why I don't write more rapidly. This is the way we acquired them:
