[Jay Leno]'s production staff will spend the next weeks putting finishing touches on Leno's new set, featuring custom-built colonial furniture and a multicolored curtain. Main hue: light blue.

When viewers next see Leno on Monday, May 25, the show will be his. Leno moves into TV's most exclusive late-night club as only the fourth full-time host of NBC's Tonight, following Steve Allen, Jack Paar and for the past 30 years, [Johnny Carson].

Since frequent flier Leno will be grounded by the nightly routine of full- time Tonight hosting duties, he'll make more frequent appearances to try out jokes at the Hermosa Beach Magic and Comedy Club, where he's tested audience reactions for years.
