[Marilyn Quayle], wife of Vice President Quayle, remains hospitalized today after gynecological surgery that will limit her activities for four to six weeks.
Quayle recently offered an olive branch to the media, conceding she ``put on my armor to do battle for my family, and in the process I froze some of you (reporters) out'' during the 1988 campaign. ``I regret that.'' With her husband under intense media scrutiny during the campaign for serving in the National Guard during the Vietnam War, Quayle said, ``At times, I felt misunderstood, misrepresented, very angry and terribly vulnerable.''
