For [Arnold Schwarzenegger], in Japan to promote the opening of Predator, it was a welcome intrusion. The adrenaline was pumping after a long flight from Los Angeles and an ego-boosting welcome from scores of Japanese.

Making a movie with a bunch of guys was a dream come true for Schwarzenegger. He calls Predator his Wild Bunch or Magnificent Seven. Though jungle shooting was hard - he had to take a five-day break when he suffered dehydration - the camaraderie made it worthwhile.
