In the so-called ``domino donor'' operations, Clinton House, 28, of Baltimore, gave his heart to John Couch, 38, of Yardley, Pa., and at the same time became the recipient of a new heart and lungs - organs transplanted from an unidentified accident victim.

Only one other cystic fibrosis patient in the USA has undergone a heart-lung transplant. About 30,000 people in the USA have cystic fibrosis.
