ESPN has had some appetite since Bornstein, 45, took over in 1990. He has overseen launches of ESPN Radio, ESPN2, ESPNews and ESPN SportsZone on-line. Not to mention ESPN investments in 20 overseas TV networks and the creation of ESPN-owned events. And, with ESPN and ABC now owned by Disney, Bornstein's job is moving far beyond TV as ESPN launches bars, retail stores and, in March, a biweekly magazine.
