Lead levels would have to rise to endanger children, doctor says

Dr. Catherine Karr, director of the University of Washington- based Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, recently gauged the possible health effect on a child drinking water at a Seattle school measuring 200 parts of lead per billion parts (ppb) of water. The lead level at Kopachuck Middle and Voyager Elementary schools was measured at 30 ppb.
